Findlay back on field for playoff dustup at Springboro

A month ago, new Findlay coach Matt Pees and his Trojans were making major strides.
Findlay stood 3-0 and led a strong Toledo St. John’s squad 24-13 with 11:40 left in a Sept. 11 contest. However, the Titans rallied to claim a 25-24 triumph.
Findlay was then dealt another blow when one of its players tested positive for COVID-19, which shut down the program for two weeks. Along with having to cancel its week 4 clash at Toledo Central Catholic, the Trojans also had to cancel their Sept. 25 game vs. Clay.
“Obviously, taking two weeks off in the middle of the season you’re going to take a little bit of a step back in regards to timing and how efficient you are,” said Pees. “We needed a game under our belt before we entered the playoffs.”
