WAUSEON – Archbold claimed its third consecutive NWOAL crown and fifth straight Lions Club Trophy with 41-7 romp over arch-rival Wauseon at a muddy Harmon Field on Friday night.
It was the third straight season the Fulton County foes played with an NWOAL championship on the line.

Central Catholic takes major step in remaining king of hill in TRAC

TOLEDO – A 19th straight TRAC triumph put Central Catholic in the driver’s seat for a fourth straight conference championship. The Irish dispatched of fellow 4-0 conference foe Whitmer, 28-7, Friday night at Gallagher Stadium.
Central (6-2, 5-0 TRAC) can claim at the very least a piece of the conference championship with a win next week at Fremont Ross (7-1, 4-1 TRAC). The Irish cap the regular season at home for the Irish-Knight against St. Francis.
Against Whitmer, Central built a 21-0 halftime advantage after the game was delayed an hour after initially starting on time.
