Lima area clash to open WBL slate for Bath, Shawnee
Lima rivals Bath and Shawnee will strap up the helmets for a Friday dustup with a 2-0 start to the season on the line for both.
Shawnee blanked Lima Central Catholic in the second half to claim a 20-13 victory in the season opener while Bath ushered in a new turf field by dominating Bowling Green with a stout defense, 14-0.
“I am proud of the way our kids played,” said Bath mentor Ryan Reindel. “We played physical, tough football.”
Bath surrendered only 87 yards of total offense to the Bobcats, which ran 39 plays.
